16/07/2009 : BSAVA invites emerging small animal veterinary organizations to attend the BSAVA Congress
  BSAVA, the British Small Animal Veterinary Association organizes annually a visiting program to allow members of emerging small animal veterinary organizations to attend BSAVA Congress (Europe’s largest veterinary congress) which is taking place every April in Birmingham, England. All applications have to be received by 1st October 2009 and will be considered by BSAVA’s International Affairs Committee.

  At the time of going to press, avian influenza cases had been diagnosed in wild birds, mainly swans, in several European countries, and the first confirmation of a H5 virus in a turkey farm in France had hit the headlines. By the time you read this, the Asian H5N1 virus has probably spread to even more regions in Europe. Poultry farmers and veterinarians are on a permanent look-out.
